I Wrote This For You with Iain Thomas

7:30 p.m.

The Last Bookstore is pleased to present Iain S. Thomas and his new book, I Wrote This For You: 2007 – 2017.

One of the most popular contemporary poets in the world, Iain S. Thomas is the creator of I Wrote This For You, a blog turned bestselling collection of books. Started in 2007, Iain, in South Africa, together with a friend he’d never met in Japan, started writing anonymous letters to the internet paired with mysterious photographs on a blog called I Wrote This For You. Over time, the blog became incredibly popular and lead to a book deal and in December 2011, the first book based on the blog was released, going on to sell hundreds of thousands of copies around the world. In 2017, a collector’s edition of the book was released, called I Wrote This For You: 2007 – 2017, celebrating 10 years of the blogs success. Before there were instapoets or instapoetry, there was I Wrote This For You. It’s been read, quoted and referenced by everyone from the Kardashians, to Arianna Huffington, to Harry Styles and Camila Cabello. Hundreds of thousands of people across the globe have found hope and solace in Iain’s writing, something he continues to do every single day.

Please join us for an intimate evening, where Iain will read, discuss and answer questions about the book, which you can pre-buy (or even reserve a seat) RIGHT HERE.
