Lucky or Not, Here I Come covers eighty years in the life of John Wilson, as told by his sister. John was not special like his talented and ambitious siblings until, on his 21st birthday, he is hit by lightning. His death-defying survival is the first of many incidents where John becomes the sole survivor of a catastrophic event. But survival comes with a price. In some cases, John pays the ultimate price: the loss of loved ones or suffering an extreme survivor’s guilt. He questions almost obsessively why he would survive when those around him did not. He recoils from his good fortune as being a curse. At his darkest moment, John and his
family are guided by a person who changes their whole perspective on life. But is this person real?
