Gappell, called an “important force in West Coast art and music” by Beverly Hills Salon Forum, is a booze-bottle smashing, glass assemblage artist and the author of Art of Myths & Music. As a featured faculty member at UCLA, Millicent has been a consultant the field of psychoneuroimmunology (PNI), which is the art and science of enhancing wellbeing, creativity, and performance through the art and science of design. Now at 80, she has started blogging about issues of today in comparison to our histories and mythologies.
In her book The Art of Myths & Music, Gappell takes on the role of storyteller. In this remarkable narrative, illustrated with breathtaking images of glass art pieces from her Mythology collection, she shares her insights into the foibles and follies of Greek and Roman gods and goddesses.
