“A love that knows no boundaries goes horribly wrong in a fateful meeting of East and West. What begins as an idyllic liaison in an enchanting land of cherry blossoms turns into the heartbreaking tragedy of an abandoned bride forced to make an excruciating decision.”

Known for leaving not a dry eye in the house, the story of Madame Butterfly is the subject of this second installment of Opera Talk.  This beloved work by Puccini has it all–geishas, unrequited love, faithful servants, and gorgeous costumes and sets.  Come learn more about the story and its background! Moderator Ray Busmann will converse with David Yaroslavsky and Peter Woods and with you, the audience, on the finer points of this classic piece of music.
