K-Chung Radio broadcasts live at The Last Bookstore

When: Back to Calendar » June 22, 2013 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The Last Bookstore teams up with K-Chung Radio for the first time in April for a live broadcast from the store, which will continue on the last Saturday of the each month and include music programming as well as art & book-centered content, interviews, and discussion.

Hosts: Eric Kim (from Work Better), Jack Heard (Reading Radio), Johnnie Jungleguts, Tosh Talks with Tosh Berman and Alissa White.

Nearby neighbors to the store, K-Chung Radio  broadcasts out of Chinatown and is available for listening through an online, live stream or by radio at 1630AM.  K-Chung recently hosted a live broadcast from the first annual LA Art Book Fair (presented by Printed Matter, Inc.) and from the Hammer Museum as part of Fritz Haeg’s “Domestic Integrities Part A03: Los Angeles” exhibit.

Artbound, KCET: “With a surplus of airtime, skills, and opportunity to connect intimately with an audience, all these DJs experiment with compelling and touching sounds. The station has a sizable contingent of ‘performance artists’ in its roster who are experimenting with radio’s broadcast intimate format.”
